Dr. Purnima Parikh, B.D.S., M.D.S. (Mum) has been practicing oral surgery in Mumbai since 1988. She received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 1985 and a Masters in Dental Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) from the Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai. Over the years, Dr. Parikh has practices oral surgery in various hospitals such as, B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children, Parel, CMPH Hospital, Parle, Hindusabha Hospital, Ghatkopar and various nursing homes.

Dr. Parikh is a member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI), and the President of the Andheri Dental Association.

Most children with Special Needs may have a greater need for dental treatment for the following reasons:
