A. Correction of Oral Habits
B. SPACE MAINTAINERS : These are small appliances which help to maintain space when a milk tooth is lost earlier than its shedding time. This helps to prevent loss of space which may lead to crowding and misalignments.
C. MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY : Crooked teeth are
D. BRACES : Dental braces are devices that align and straighten teeth and jaws. Braces can be either cosmetic or structural. Today's orthodontics offer more kinds of braces than ever before like metal, ceramic, lingual orthodontics, invisalign and flash.
Early detection helps eliminate your child's potential bite, speech problems and ability to chew and digest foods properly. An orthodontic evaluation should be as early as 7 yrs of age (The American Association of Orthodontics).
Your child may need orthodontic treatment in case of :
Early or late loss of baby teeth (your child should typically start losing teeth around 6yrs of age)
Thumb sucking
Mouth breathing
Difficulty in chewing
Speech impediments
Forwardly placed teeth
Crowding of teeth
Most children with Special Needs may have a greater need for dental treatment for the following reasons:

• They may have an increased susceptibility to tooth decay and gum disease.
• They have increased chances of falls and oral trauma.
• The Prescribed medication or diet may be detrimental to dental health.
• Due to the disability there may be a physical difficulty in maintaining oral hygiene.
However if dental care is started early and followed conscientiously, every child can enjoy a healthy smile. Dental disease in most cases is preventable No dentist can be better equipped than a pediatric dentist to treat a child with special needs. The advanced training that pediatric dentists undergo focuses on care for children with special needs. While some children may cooperate with basic behaviour management techniques, many would require treatment under general anaesthesia.
Mouth Guards

If your child plays sports or struggles with teeth grinding, our pediatric dental office would be happy to create a custom-made mouth guard for him or her. An athletic mouth guard will protect your little one’s smile while he or she is active. Meanwhile, a special appliance known as a night guard can prevent excessive wear and tear for young patients who struggle with teeth grinding. If you have questions about either service, don’t hesitate to let us know.
